Garden of Harmony Singapore Changi Airport
If you are interested in the entire project, please click here for the full project description of Milla & Partner at their project page. We will give you a short introduction what the experience of the Changi Experience Studio is about and how we had been part of this unique project.
THE TRAVEL GUIDE: THE CONSISTENT IMPLEMENTATION OF A VISITOR JOURNEY
Upon entering the exhibition, each visitor receives their own tool, the Travel Guide. This allows visitors to document their stations on the journey and to collect photos and moments - just a very personal footprint of each trip. With this technology, individual, interactive content is projected onto the personal travel guides of the visitors. Visitors can explore a variety of stations and go on a journey of discovery with the Travel Guide. The Travel Guide itself is derived directly from the leitmotif: capture moments and memories during the journey and then distribute them on social media - so visitors become brand ambassadors.
FASCINATING BUTTERFLIES ACCOMPANY THE VISITORS THROUGH THE EXHIBITION
Changi Airport has its own butterfly garden on the airport grounds. In the Changi Experience Studio, the butterflies symbolize the sense of togetherness: they represent the community of all employees and serve Milla & Partner as a source of inspiration. Illuminated butterfly objects made of colored glass together with projections of their virtual counterparts fuse analogue and digital spaces together. Thus, the exhibition becomes a multimedia, immersive experience. The movements of the butterflies are based on the behavior of their role models from nature and are projected on walls, the floor and of course on the Travel Guides of the visitors, so that one gets the feeling to be immersed in the magical butterfly swarm: visible, audible and omnipresent.
PLAYFUL CONTENT MEDIATION: PLAY A GAME AND LEARN ...
How do you keep an airport running, make planes, organize luggage transport or look for the right fingerprints on entry? Visitors can test this with the Travel Guide. Here the visitor can quickly find out how demanding the tasks at the airport can be and whether you have what it takes to work at the airport. The play stations clearly show how the employees keep the movement running at the airport.
THE GREAT FINALE IN A UNIQUE INTERACTIVE SOUND INSTALLATION: THE GARDEN OF HARMONY
The entrance to the Garden of Harmony becomes the secret place of the butterflies: Here the visitor is surrounded by the combination of light, projection, sound and a swaying, digital forest of leaves. Magical sounds sound when touched by the interactive petals. Virtual butterflies attract visitors and entice them to explore sound harmonies. In the center of the Garden of Harmony, visitors and their fellow travelers become an orchestra: the Travel Guides serve as musical instruments, enveloped in a harmonious composition. With the grand finale of the show, the visitor dives completely into the heartbeat of Changi.
